Ford Architects is excited to celebrate a major milestone in the Little Red Schoolhouse Early Childhood Education project with the official groundbreaking of the new facility in Snowmass Village.

This Earth Day, the team at Ford Architects celebrated with a hands-on activity focused on sustainability and community. Together, we made handmade “seed balls” using clay, soil, and native wildflower seeds as a simple way to help promote pollinator-friendly growth throughout our campus.

Our JEDI Committee at Ford Architects hosts a bi-monthly session, called Discussion and Donuts, where we watch a video focused on topics related to Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, followed by a group discussion. The session sparked an engaging and thoughtful conversation inspired by Carin Taylor’s TED Talk on the topic of belonging.

Ford Architects is honored to have Creating the Regenerative School featured in Texas Architect magazine’s “Generation Next” review by Lisa Casey. The article engages with the book’s core message that regenerative school design is both achievable and essential to the future of education.

The Citywide Mentor-Protégé Program is designed to develop long term business relationships between established prime contractors, certified small firms and city agencies. This program is driven by the overarching mission of encouraging the city’s utilization of certified small firms on city professional services, construction, good and service projects.

In early spring of this year, when discussing how Ford Architects wanted to participate in recognition of Pride Month, a question was posited: was everyone within the firm aware of Pride Month’s origins? This one question sparked a journey of education and discovery to help the firm learn about and better understand the LGBTQIA+ community.
