Little Red Schoolhouse ECE Breaks Ground!
Ford Architects is excited to celebrate a major milestone in the Little Red Schoolhouse Early Childhood Education project with the official groundbreaking of the new facility in Snowmass Village. This marks the beginning of an important investment in the community's youngest learners and the continued growth of one of the valley's most cherished educational institutions.
For generations, the Little Red Schoolhouse has served families throughout the Roaring Fork Valley, providing high-quality early childhood education in a welcoming, community-centered environment. As demand for early learning programs has continued to grow, the expansion will help ensure that more children have access to these critical educational opportunities for years to come.
The new addition, located directly behind the historic Little Red Schoolhouse, will significantly expand the school's capacity while thoughtfully respecting the character and legacy of the original building. Designed to complement its mountain setting, the project creates modern learning environments that support exploration, creativity, and early childhood development while maintaining a strong connection to the surrounding landscape.
Construction is now underway, bringing the vision one step closer to reality. We are honored to partner with the Town of Snowmass Village, Land+Shelter and the entire project team on this meaningful investment in the future of early childhood education.
We look forward to sharing construction progress as the project advances and to celebrating the completion of a facility that will serve generations of children and families throughout the Roaring Fork Valley!
