The Shops at Sixth & Broadway
• Related to historic character of its Baker neighborhood by way of a strong street/pedestrian presence and contextual detailing and form.
• The challenging and small site led to creating the new retail area over an existing 80-year old below grade parking garage which was all that remained from its days as a Studebaker dealership. Stormwater detention was accommodated on the roof of the retail center.
• By integrating the structure and storefront in combination with column free interiors, the tenants are afforded significant flexibility in their layouts.
